Compassionate Thunder Bay - Chair
ACCOUNTABILITY: The community & the committee
NATURE AND SCOPE: The role of the Chair will be to lead and aid the community and the committee in advancing Compassionate Communities in Thunder Bay. This primarily includes scheduling and leading the community meetings, and taking ideas and direction from the community on how to move forward. These community meetings are held on the second Tuesday of each month, usually near the end of the work day.
As with all members of this movement they must actively facilitate the direction and growth of the movement.
Approximate hour commitment: 2-4 hours per month, including monthly meeting.
This is an unpaid, volunteer position.
Experience or familiarity with government or organizational structure.
Experience with volunteer/community recruitment.
Experience leading people and facilitating meetings.
Creating the agenda for meetings; taking ideas from the committee and community.
Leading the committee meetings.
Planning the meeting location
Handling all internal email communications within the committee.
Acting as the main point of contact for Compassionate Thunder Bay.
